I'd move away but I'm never ready to leave...

Some days, I like to take a step back and gaze in wonder at the insanity of the situations into which I am dragged, despite harsh protest. People make poor decisions. I make poor decisions as well, don't get me wrong, but when someone asks me a stupid question, expecting the answer they WANT to hear rather than the answer I'm going to give, they shouldn't get mad at me for speaking my mind. If you want your opinion to come out of my mouth you should ask for that instead. Rather than telling me I'm a "deluded prick" or "an immature jerk" for not telling you that you made the right choices and patting your head like a labradoodle (thank you Dr. Cox) in constant need of approval.

TL;DR version: People (myself included) are stupid, I do not pander.

Existential thought of the day: Read Job if you haven't already. If you have already, read Job again. It's incredible. It makes me cry out for patience, because I know the things I "suffer through" on a daily basis are basically nothing in comparison to what is outlined in The Word.

Current interest: I'm going to begin watching The Wire today. I've been putting it off for almost 2 weeks now, and from every personal review given to me, it's supposed to be amazing. I suppose I'll be able to give a full review on it as I watch it.

Random quote of the day: Just a clarification, quotes of the day can be from anything I witness during the day, whether that be something I read, something I overheard, or something I just thought of and had to write down (some days, there may not be a limit of one quote I put up simply because I find so many that I love). Thank you, and on to the quote(s):

"Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it."
-Mark Twain

"When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained."
-Mark Twain

"July 4. Statistics show that we lose more fools on this day than in all the other days of the year put together. This proves, by the number left in stock, that one fourth of July per year is now inadequate, the country has grown so."
-Mark Twain

I've been reading a lot of Mark Twain if you couldn't tell. Tomorrow I may review and give my interpretation of a song that probably none of you have ever heard before, so it should be a good one. Until next time!

First Post

I suppose I'll begin, reader, by explaining why I'm starting this blog. My reasons are fourfold: first, I can't write a physical journal, my handwriting is just too terrible for any such attempt (I've tried, I'd like to be able to read the things I write, and yes it's that bad) to be a viable option. Second: because I'm absolutely the worst at really and truly opening up to people and, the way I perceive things, this may help me with that shortcoming. Third, because I see more than I let people think, and need a place I can go to let off steam when things are going poorly. Fourth, and lastly, because many of the postings I will make are going to be completely thrown together thoughts that I have throughout the day. None of which will necessarily have anything to do with the other, but I'd like to have a place I can write them down. They may have anything to do with life, love, music, God, my beliefs, my dreams, my hopes, etc etc...
Thanks for reading, hopefully much more to come.
